1937 Irish shilling cufflinks for a birth-year birthday

A pair of cufflinks made from the year the recipient was born brings a personal connection to a birthday gift. These genuine 1937 Irish shillings are handmade into cufflinks in Dalkey, Co. Dublin.

Bull and harp designs from the Irish Free State

The coins feature the bull and Celtic harp, the original 1937 date and the Saor Stat inscription. The date appears around the harp, making the year part of the gift itself.

1937 is a very rare year for Irish coins, with only 100,000 of these coins minted. The pair comes in a silver-coloured presentation box, ready to give to a husband, dad or grandad with a connection to 1937.
