Each pair is handmade in Dalkey, County Dublin, using genuine circulated coins.
The Irish threepence was part of Ireland’s pre-decimal currency and was worth three old pence. It features an Irish hare designed by artist Percy Metcalfe, whose animal designs were selected for Ireland’s first national coin series.
The other side displays the Irish harp, the word “Éire” and the year 1956.
Ireland withdrew the threepence when the country changed to decimal currency.
