30 Nov Joe Biden has a set of our Cufflinks – 3rd US President !
As a small Irish business, its amazing to think our Cufflinks have been gifted to 3 US Presidents.
In 2012 the Taoiseach – Enda Kenny travelled to Washington for St. Patricks weekend and it is custom for The Taoiseach to have breakfast with the Vice President at their house.
We were asked to make a set of Cufflinks by the Dept of An Taoiseach for the year 1942 and we made a set of Cufflinks using the 1942 Irish Sixpence the year of Joe Bidens birth.
With Joe Biden winning the US Election and on his way to being the next US President he joins Bill Clinton – 1946 and Barack Obama who received two sets – 1961 the year he was born Irish threepence and also a set of small Irish 5p Cufflinks from 1992, the year he was married. The Cufflinks Obama received were referenced in a White house letter which we have to say was amazing to see in print – Our Cufflinks – mentioned on White House paper !
Anyway, we do hope Joe Biden wears them and we’ll be taking a closer look at his Cuffs any time he’s waving his arms.
